BRIGHT in the Sky in february!

As of Now, today, February 14, 2023, after sunset, in the western direction, Venus is dazzlingly bright to the naked eye and even more so in binoculars. It’s hard to miss her. Slightly above it shining with slightly golden hue is Jupiter. As the days go by they will come closer and closer. This show is there to stay… On February 22, Cresent moon with Jupiter and slightly below it will be Venus, a treat if you are into star gazzing. Gift from SHIVA… 🙂

Vedic View: Shuracharya: Venus

SHUKRACHARYA is considered the preceptor of the ‘asuras’ i.e. He is the guide for all the material pursuits/happiness. Like, love/relationships, fine arts, luxuries, conveyances, etc. He signifies Jala Tattva and thus emotions.

The very famous Mṛtyuñjaya Mantra is related to Shukracharya! In Shiva Mahapurana, it is said that Shukra did Tapsya “Hanging upside down over fire and breathing in smoke” and got the MritaSanjivani vidya (bring back dead to life) by Lord Shiva. In Ayurveda, reproduction is the main function of Shukra Dhatu.

NASA’s description of Venus

On Venus, the DAY is SHORTER than a YEAR! So, Venus completes revolution around Sun before he can complete one rotation on it’s axis! (More focus on Sun/Shiva than self?)

On Venus, the North, and South Poles are also Reversed, North pole is down and the South pole is up… It’s like an upside down earth!

So, Venus has opposite rotational movement. So, If you are on Venus SUN RISES in the WEST and SETS in the EAST!!

Due to this unique motion of Venus, it is always covered in “thick atmospheric clouds” with crushing air pressure that traps the heat creating extreme atmosphere! And even though Venus is the second planet from Sun, Venus is the hottest planet in our Solar System. Tapsya?

AND YET, SHUKRA IS ‘JALA TATTVA’ PLANET SIGNIFYING EMOTIONS!! AND IMPORTANT SIGNIFICATOR OF PROCREATION.
